I intend to get my bachelors in education and specialize in teaching of the visually impaired. I'm trying to decide which program to select and am gathering as much information from each as I can. I'd also like people's opinions of what they have heard or experienced. The more information one has the more informed their decision making may be.
Is anyone here in or planning on attending a program, undergrad or grad, to become a tvi (teacher of the visually impaired)? If so which program are you at or do you intend to go to; WMU, NIU, FSU, Kutztown University in PA, or other? What was the biggest factor for you choosling the college and program you did? What do you like or dislike about said program? Do you feel it has, or is, more than adequately prepared, or preparing, you for the field of teaching of the vi?
